Summary of Story: World War II has swept London and the Pevensie children are forced to live with Digory Kirke in the English countryside. While exploring the house the youngest child, Lucy stumbles across a wardrobe and discovers when she crawls through it that it is a portal to Narnia, a snow-covered world. Lucy befriends a faun and learns about Narnia. She then goes back through the portal after hours of being in Narnia. Weeks later Lucy crawls back through the wardrobe to see Mr. Tumnus, the faun. Edmund following her crawls through also and meets the White Witch, who cast a spell so it was always winter but never Christmas in Narnia. She tricks him into believing she will grant his every wish and make him a king if he leads his brothers and sisters to her. Meeting Edmund on her way back to the wardrobe portal they talk about Narnia. Once they get back, Lucy tries to convince Peter and Susan that Narnia was real and Edmund refused to agree with her pretending he had no clue what she was talking about. Eventually all the children stumble through the wardrobe hiding from Mr. Kirke. They end up finding that they are all in Narnia. Lucy leading them around they get lost and eventually befriend the Badgers. The rest of the story explains the meeting of Aslan and eventually the death of the White Witch. The story is a remarkable adventure and shows great morals, tragedies, and new friendships that should help recreate any torn apart society. Characters:
Peter Pevensie- is the oldest of all the siblings. He does not originally believe Lucy when she talks about Narnia. Shows courage and leadership throughout the story and is hailed as a hero for his part in the end of the White Witch's reign.

He is originally under the influence of the White Witch from when he first traveled to Narnia, but with the help of Aslan his siblings can bring him back to his senses. Asking for forgiveness he helps overthrow the White Witch.
